From this research the aim is to investigate what kind of natural disaster usually people face; and how they feel if they lost their important belongings like house in a natural disaster; and experiment about people’s knowledge of ability to survive; and whether they are willing to accept help from the others without seeking help from families and friends; and their observations about homeless organizations.

 

From the survey, the result are quiet satisfied; the most frequent natural disaster people met are earthquake and flood; if they lost their important belongings, they will feel lost, hopeless, sad, feel mad, angry, devastated, bad, helpless, distraught, frustrated, unsure, lost, upset, disappointed, horrible, clueless and heartbreak. After a disaster, the most important things that they ranked is foods and water, second is temporary living, third is medical supplies and last is daily supplies. From the survey, the answers show that most of the people still choose to seek for help from families and friends, only few of them would seek for help from government and organizations. Those refuse to seek for help from organizations said that, they can help themselves, they don’t know how to contact them, the don’t know if its work

This survey is to investigate how frequent people update their news information, investigate what kind of resources they usually used to update their knowledge, and also to investigate their knowledge about emergency shelter. This survey also research about the solutions of this research project whether it is workable.

 

From the survey, it proved that many people did update themselves with news, which mean it is a good sight that they did care about what is going on; other than that, the result shows that most of the people update their knowledge by using internet resources and social media. The result also proved that most of the people know what is an emergency shelter but half of them don’t know the function and significances of it. Beside that, the idea of backpacker hostel seem will be workable because many people think that is might be working and most of them willing to try if there is on of it.
