2. Shipping Pallets Shelter
I-beam created a sustainable emergency shelter (Picture 46-47) by using reuse material of pallets shelter. This emergency shelter made of shipping pallets (Picture 48) is easy and quick to construct and it could stand for many years. The sizes of the pallets are uniform in size, popular, easy to get from everywhere. Pallets are used to construct as the frame and bone of the shelter, after that plywood or other local materials can used to cover the pallets to function as wall, roof and floor. Shipping pallets are materials that could be recycle and reuse, low cost materials that’s are suitable to use in emergency situation. (inhabitat.com, accessed: 23 Jan 2015)
