Living environment, play a very important place in this bustling era of 21st century, and also witness the progress of how a city succes or failure being developed. A good living environment can lead a city to the place of success, but a bad living environment might brings failure to the city. Living environment also shows the economic of the city, the type of citizens of the country, value of the city and the growth of the city. 

 

To be more clear about the Living Environment:

 

Defination of the word of living :

  1. an income sufficient to live on or the means of earning it

  2. pursuit of a lifestyle of the specified type: 'the benefits of country living' (oxforddictionaries.com, accessed: 17 November 2014).

Defination of the word of environment :

  1.  the surroundings or conditions in which a person animal, or plant lives or operates: 'survival in an often hostile enviroment'.

  2. the natural worlds, as a whole or in a particulalr geographic area especially as affected by human activity: 'the impact of pesticides on the environment' , 'a parliamentary environment committee' (oxforddictionaries.com, accessed: 17 November 2014).

 

We can found that the powerful of the environment influence the organism world from daily life to the future.

 

Living environment can affect the social development and influence the living style and cogitation of its citizens, with either a positive way or a negative way.

 

Positive way:

  • Positive thinking

  • Lead the social progress,

  • Happy citizens

  • Criminal decrease: improve on the overall safety of the city

  • Citizens with good health; help the social progress

 

Negative way:

  • Negative thinking

  • Citizens with various kind of problem

  • Safety problem in the city; criminal increase, getting worse

  • Citizens with bad health; slow down the progress of social.

 

the analysis of : Living Environment 

 

From the study of living environment, it can be divided into 2 points to futher explain of the defination and understanding of the living environment. These two points are knows as: 

  1. Standard of Living 

  2. Quality of life

1. Standard of Living

 

Level of wealth, necessities, comfort and material goods are generally refers as the part of elements for Standard Living., which also available to a certain socioeconomic class in certain geographic area. Standard living is more easier to qauntify, with measuring the factors like, services available, life expectancy or inflation rate, quantity and quality of goods (investopedia.com, acessed: 9 October 2014).  

 

Standard of living always being used as a research material like comparing geographic areas, and also comparing distinct points in time. From the comparing of the research, data collected can become one of the evidence to prove the improvement of economics in the world.

 

Standard of living refer to the basic income to cover the daily life needs, comfortable living spaces, enough of freedom, stand in the standard class, healthy life and else.

2. Quality of life

 

Quality of life is having more better factors than standard of living, with a better lifestyle, better income, better living environment, able to become more luxury. The best way to measure of the quality of life is to measure the 'happinness' people met. People with lives in condition with quality of life mostly because they have enough money to spend, enjoy life, carefree, feel good, satisfied with things in general. Spending more money can increase the quality of life (investopedia.com, acessed: 9 October 2014). 

 

Other than that, quality of life also have to consider about the domains in life, which include spiritual, work, family, friends, health, education, environment and neighbourhood.
